New Years Eve

What better way to see in the new year (and say goodbye to the old) then with a few of my favourite people at one of my favourite restaurants.

Nestled away on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds with spectacular views of the Humber Estuary is The Boars Nest, a quaint farmhouse-come-restaurant serving the finest British cuisine with a friendly northern accent.

I usually dont get excited about NYE. Actually... I think it is a complete anti-climax - over priced, over hyped, over crowded and the chances of getting a taxi near on impossible, unless you book the year before!! Anyway, Adam and i thought we'd do something different, something more relaxing and more decadent - rather than a tedious house party or aimlessly wandering around town trying to get in to wine bar.

So we all got glammed up and headed out for the night...

My dress, belt and bracelet are from Warehouse, shoes are from Dorothy Perkins, clutch by Topshop and watch; Michael Kors

On arrival we were each greeted with a dirty martini, umpteen canapes and a toasty log fire.

Dinner is served...

Dont forget the wine...

Before and after?!?!

With a full belly and feeling a bit tipsy it was time to retreat to the lounge for a coffee and wait in anticipation for midnight.

...5, 4, 3, 2, 1....

After a couple of champagne cocktails and a few cheeky ports, it was time to retire...but not after Mr C cracked out the Terminator and woke up all the neighbours...well, it is NYE afterall!!
